Book Review: Thinking Physics
|Author(s):||Lewis Carroll Epstein|
|Appropriate for Age:||Teen|
|Keywords:||Physics, logic, science|
|Physics students are often tempted to solve physics problems by manipulating algebra without understanding the actual physical situation that gives rise to the problem. Epstein challenges students to properly apply physical principles in analyzing dozens of deceptively simple "everyday" situations. I suggest students of the physical sciences take on a challenge a week and work out a full analysis before attempting an explanation.|
