FAQ answer

Do classes use audio?

Scholars Online teachers are free to use WizIQ, Skype, and other audio technologies. Our math courses regularly use WizIQ. However, most courses use the non-audio Scholars Online Chat program. We believe that our unique browser-based chat software allows us to deliver more material, with less ambiguity, than audio supplies, and additionally lets us log course presentations for reference. For more information on the pedagogical reasons behind our decision to use primarily text methods, see the Chat discussion available from the Site Map.

Scholars Online is currently engaged in accreditation evaluation by MSA-CESS for the 2017-2018 academic year and following years. Courses taken from Fall 2009 - Spring 2017 were fully accredited by AdvancED and NWAC. For more information on accreditation, see our Scholars Online Accreditation page.
