The College Application Process

Tuesday 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM ET

Tuition: $125.00

This 8-week series is intended to help parents and students prepare for the college admission process by explaining the process and the key issues involved, such as what kinds of questions to ask when visiting or contacting colleges, the different purposes behind the NMSQT, SAT, CLEP, and AP examinations, how to prepare a college application transcript, how to write letters of recommendation or ask others to write them, and how to survive the financial aid application process. Both student and at least one parent should plan on attending all sessions. This course will be team-taught by two parents whose three homeschooled students successfully navigated the college test and admission process, entering college with National Merit Scholarships and AP credits.

Prerequisites

This course is intended for students who have completed their sophomore or junior years and are actively looking at their options for college admission.
