Tuition: $125.00
This is a study group for students preparing to take the AP biology examination, who cannot otherwise take the college-level Biology course and its AP option. Students will review specific biology topics, complete practice quizzes, discuss test-taking techniques, and submit free-exercises for review. PLEASE NOTE: This is not an AP course, or a substitute for a college-level biology course.Prerequisites
Students are required to have completed a high-school biology course and must be studying a college-level text on their own or through some other program. Because of time limitations, basic biology concepts will not be covered.
Recommended background
Junior high school life science, high school biology, concurrent self-study in college-level biology.
Teacher's notes:
This group must not be considered a substitute for a full college-level course. No grade will be given and no lab work will be required or reviewed. Parents who wish to list student work as "AP" on a transcript must apply directly to the College Board for certification; they may not report participation in this group as an AP course from Scholars Online. Students signed up for the AP Option in biology will be automatically enrolled for this study group to have access to bulletin board discussions, but will attend separate chat sessions.
