Supporting Us
Academic Support Mrs. Decker is widely known in homeschooling circles for her advocacy of classical Christian education. As a parent whose students enrolled in courses taught by Dr. Bruce and Dr. Christe McMenomy at ISLAS and Scholars Online, she is familiar with our approach to classical education, and the level and content of our Scholars Online courses. We are greatly blessed that Mrs. Decker is willing to volunteer her time to help prospective and current Scholars Online members determine whether our courses will meet their needs.
If you have any questions about planning your student's curriculum at Scholars Online, you may email her or phone her for help.
Technical Support Miss McMenomy was homeschooled from childhood through high school, during which time she also took classes from ISLAS. She completed a B. A. in Fine Arts at Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA, where she also worked for two years in the Technology Services department, supporting faculty, staff, and students using a variety of operating systems, word processors, and browsers, to accomplish their academic tasks, while creating websites for herself and others. After working two years as an Apple Genius, she now serves as IT Support at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, while building her portfolio of art projects in her spare time. She may be reached by e-mail at any time if you have technical issues in configuring your browser to access the Scholars Online site or Moodle, and is occasionally available by telephone as well.
Scholars Online has been provisionally accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools.
