New for Summer 2024

Explore Treasure Island by Robert Lewis Stevenson this summer with Dr. Bruce McMenomy and Mrs. Alexandra Nelson. An adventure story beloved by readers young and old, Treasure Island is also a superbly crafted novel, worth exploring for its narrative structure and character development, and an excellent introduction to the basic ideas of literary analysis. Grades 4 through adult are welcome to join this quest for literary treasure.

New for Fall 2024

A complete math sequence grades 6-12 at Scholars Online

We’ve added three new courses to our math sequence this year, allowing middle school, high school, and adult students to begin at their own skill level and progress through calculus.

  • Pre-Algebra: Learn the basic terms, questions, and concepts of mathematics necessary for understanding algebra, including number theory, fractions, exponents, and equations.
  • Algebra 1: Learn to use graphs and charts to represent data, lines, and functions.
  • Geometry: Develop logical systems of thought as you explore geometric shapes and relationships.
  • Algebra 2 (Advanced Algebra) : Explore linear, quadratic, exponential, logarithmic, rational, and irrational functions, and learn how these functions apply to real-world problems.
  • Pre-Calculus: Learn how calculators and dynamic software can help you study different functions as you apply geometric and algebraic analysis to real world problems of wave behavior and logistic population growth.
  • Calculus: Find out how limit theory leads to derivatives and integrals, and how to use these functions to describe the physical world.

If you are interested in a custom-designed tutorial or chat sessions at a time other than those offered, please let the Administration Office know your course requirements and we will help you identify a tutor. If there is sufficient interest we may be able to add a section for an existing course to accommodate students.

Scholarship Fund

Scholars Online receives donations for scholarships directly, and dedicates all money received from its Bookstore Amazon Associates affiliation to the Scholarship fund. Scholarships are granted on a case-by-case basis for tuition assistance when students would otherwise be unable to take courses due to job loss, medical expenses, or other family emergencies. Please contact accounts@scholarsonline.org to request information about scholarship availability for our Summer and Academic Year Courses.

Direct contributions to our scholarship fund are tax-exempt, as Scholars Online is a 501(c)(3) organization. To make a donation by check or online, see our Scholarship page. You may also donate by making purchases from Amazon.com through the Scholars Online Bookstore site.
