Introduction to Programming

Friday 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM ET

Tuition: $400.00

Participants in this course will learn: • What is programming? • How to design a program • The analysis and reasoning needed to convert a statement of requirements into a program design. • Some basic flowcharting techniques. • The basics of the Clojure programming language. Each student will prepare a final project analyzing and designing a program.

Prerequisites

Having completed Algebra I (or its equivalent) is a prerequisite. NO prior programming experience is required. This is a beginning course.

Recommended background

Students should be familiar with text editors and working with files and folders (directories) on their computers. It is highly recommended that students complete their coursework on a computer, not a mobile device; but if they are using only a mobile device, they should have a keyboard available.
