Support for Access from Anywhere, Including Low-Bandwidth Internet

Okay, you still need an internet connection, but...

We’ve designed our Scholars Online learning environment to support low-bandwidth connects and internet service interruptions. Our text-based environment is robust and keeps technology interruptions to a minimum, preserves student privacy, allows for quiet reflection in class without Zoom fatigue or sibling students in the same room overtalking each other. Reducing bandwith means students can be in live discussions online at the same time without crowding each other out of internet support as well. Our teachers can teach from anywhere and students can — and do — attend from anywhere they have internet access.

Of course, we realize that some topics benefit from video-chat presentations and audio support. Our modern language and mathematics courses use Zoom to allow students to speak or share their own presentations where hearing and seeing graphics is essential. But most of our courses, including our science courses, use the Scholars Online Chat, which fully supports HTML, graphics and media, and which provides students with a complete log of each session.

Scholars Online is fully accredited through the Middle States Accreditation Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools.
